Ha-ha-ha-haaaa! “Disco” was such a curse word for so many of the rocker kids in America in the late ’70s. I, btw, was one of them. I was never a huge Dead fan but did, at least, appreciate some of their stuff. But, if it makes you feel any better, Soul was the parent of Funk and it’s younger, more brash and kitsch sibling known as Disco. And now, after all these years, I look back and say “what the heck, it was only music.”
